Team Evo FAQs
Team Evolution is a coed basketball league that provides the opportunity to learn and play in a team environment. We teach playing the game the right way and stress individual skill development within the team format.
We love our coed model for Team Evolution, and believe it serves our players very well, as girls and boys learn to play together as teammates and competitors. Each season may have a few growing pains at first, but we are well-prepared to address those immediately and everyone benefits from these learning experiences.
There are two practices and one game each week during the season. You select your practice days/locations when you register, and the games are played every Sunday afternoon. The complete game schedule will be provided during first week of the season.
Yes! We designed Team Evolution to accommodate spring sport schedules. You can select the practice days that work best for you, and we will accommodate makeup requests as often as possible.
We will have a player combine at the beginning of the season that we use to evaluate the players, but this is not a tryout. We use that information to form competitive teams that will play together each week.
Complete teams do not practice together during the season, but they do not have to with our way of doing things. We teach kids how to play basketball the right way, stressing the fundamentals of good team basketball. The goal is for players to develop their individual skills within a team format and so every player receives the same instruction each week regardless of which practices they attend. We also treat the Sunday games as teaching opportunities and our coaches will be very active in that regard.
