7 Evolution Players Win NCAA Division III Conference Championships

MARCH MADNESS has arrived… This past weekend was all of the D-III conference tournaments with this weekend being the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament. We have quite a few of our players who won conference championships and who will be dancing this year.

The D-I season goes for another couple of weeks before selection Sunday, we’ll keep an eye on that one as well.

Josiah Hardy | ODAC Champion (Hampden Sydney) - began as a member of our advanced training program (Ashburn, VA) in 7th grade. Josiah played his high school basketball at Gonzaga (DC). You can still find Josiah training in our facilities each summer when he is home from Hampden Sydney. Josiah had 15 points in 21 minutes in the championship game against Washington & Lee University.

Alayna Arnolie | Centennial Conference Champion (Gettysburg) - began as a member of our advanced training program (Merrifield, VA) in middle school and was a consistent face in the facility during her years at Madison High School. Like many others on this list - you will often see Alayna training in the summers when she is home from Gettysburg. Alayna played 38 minutes tallying 7 points and 8 rebounds against nationally ranked Johns Hopkins University in the championship game.

Eddie Paquette | Centennial Conference Champion (Swarthmore) - began as a member of our advanced training program (Merrifield, VA) during his high school career at Gonzaga (DC) and trains each summer when he is home from Swarthmore! Eddie had a strong performance in the championship game playing 30 minutes to go with 8 points and 4 rebounds against nationally ranked Johns Hopkins University. (YES - we had a player on both the men's and women's side win a championship against Johns Hopkins)

Elizabeth Creed | Coast to Coast Conference Champion (CNU) - began in our advanced training program (Merrifield, VA) in 2018. Elizabeth was a stand-out forward at Meridian High School in Falls Church before committing to top-ranked CNU. She is only a freshman so we hope to see her back in the gym training for the next three summers! Elizabeth, along with two other #evofamily members, knocked off second-ranked UMW in the Coast-to-Coast conference championship.

Jessica Dornak | Coast-to-Coast Conference Champion (CNU) - began in our advanced training program (Merrifield, VA) in 2022 after being introduced to our program by her AAU team Potomac Valley Thunder. Like her teammate, Elizabeth, Jessica is a freshman and we are excited for the summer training to continue. Jessica and CNU knocked off second-ranked UMW in the Coast-to-Coast conference championship.

Ashley Steadman | Coast-to-Coast Conference Champion (CNU) - began in our advanced training program (Chantilly, VA) in 2021 during her successful high school career at Woodgrove. Ashley is a sophomore and we hope to get her back in the gym, after a bit of a hiatus, now that she has two teammates that can join her for training.

Ian Anderson | Coast-to-Coast Conference Champion (CNU) -  began as a member of our advanced training program (Ashburn, VA) in 2018. The 6-7 forward is no stranger to winning conference championships as this is his third straight Coast-to-Coast conference championship all against the same opponent - University of Mary Washington.
