Coaching/Training Career:
My name is Kelly Koshuta and I am from Vienna, Virginia.
I played High School basketball at James Madison High School in Vienna Virginia. From there, I committed to Virginia Tech which is a Division I school in the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference). Two seasons later, I transferred to James Madison University (Division I Colonial Athletic Association) and finished out my college career there. Almost three years after I finished playing in college, I attended a women’s Professional Basketball Combine in Myrtle Beach, SC. I was picked up by an agent and signed my first contract to play Professional basketball in the FIBA league for Team Depiro in L-Imtarfa, Malta. This was an amazing opportunity and I absolutely enjoyed the whole experience!
My most memorable college career moment was scoring my first basket in a collegiate game for Virginia Tech. At that moment, I knew I had reached my childhood goal and I was excited to achieve new goals throughout my college basketball career. Playing in college produced many wonderful memories, from passionate in-game moments to bonds with teammates and coaches, I am so thankful for my career and journey!
I love the game of basketball and owe so much of my career to the skill development and mentorship I received from Evolution Basketball as a middle and high school player. Evolution helped me become the player I am today and I am proud to say things have come full circle. As I am now guiding players and families alike through their basketball journey’s just as Evolution did for me. #PlayersFirst
